Ways to Give to WRPC

Your gifts can change lives. Your giving makes worship, children’s ministry, small groups, pastoral care and
support, mission and outreach activities, and upkeep of this facility possible. If you wish to give to a specific cause,
please indicate so in the memo field of your checks. If you have any general questions, please feel free to contact
the WRPC Receiving Treasurer at rt@waverlyroadpc.org.

There are several ways to give:

In Person During Services

  • We would love to see you! Please see our website page for worship service schedule.
  • A collection plate will be distributed during the services.

Online

  • Your online gifts are processed by the Presbyterian Foundation and are transferred to Waverly Road Presbyterian Church minus a 2% processing fee.
  • The Presbyterian Foundation will issue a separate contribution statement for tax purposes.
    To prevent “double counting,” your gifts will not be shown on a WRPC statement.
  • If you wish to donate to something other than one of the designated funds on the following page,
    contact the WRPC Receiving Treasurer, rt@waverlyroadpc.org.
  • Give Online

By Mail or Drop by the Church

  • Your gifts can be mailed to 1415 Waverly Road, Kingsport, TN 37664.
  • Feel free to drop by our office! The church office number is (423) 247-5121.

Stock Gifts

  • If you have a stock you wish to donate, our broker can work with your broker.
  • Please contact the WRPC Receiving Treasurer, rt@waverlyroadpc.org, who will give you
    guidance and provide a statement for tax purposes.

Giving with QCD’S

  • If you are 70 1⁄2 years old or older, and have a taxable IRA with a required minimum distribution, you can “kill two birds with one stone” with a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). This fulfills your required minimum distribution, and also makes it tax free.
  • The distribution must come directly from your IRA trustee(s) to WRPC, in order for you to avoid
    taxes on the distribution.
  • Contact your IRA trustee for eligibility, and IRS publication 590b to learn more.
  • Please contact the WRPC Receiving Treasurer, rt@waverlyroadpc.org, who will give you
    guidance and provide a statement for tax purposes.
